Jan's Poem

STARS

Once I saw
at least a million stars
in the clear New Mexico sky
I stood on the porch
and stared in wonder
at the heavens above me
I drank in the sight
intoxicated b the beauty
The cold night air
crept around me
I shivered
half from cold
half from delight
I may never see it again
but I will never forget
that New Mexico night
under a million glittering lights

Ron's Poem

QUESTION

was ever always
past and future
divided by now
as a cutting knife

what is time
is it anything
what is being
is it real

what is nothing
is it empty
can nothing exist
would we know

we think the past
guess the future
imagine the present
but know little

I grow old
does time grow old
does being
does nothing
