Jan's Poem

DREAMS

The time between dusk and dawn
When the night shadows creep into the corners
My bedroom light spills across the floor
And the stars wink at the moon
tucked in bed, lost in another place
pages of my book swim before my eyes
As sleep tugs at my eyelids
Night sits softly on my brow
Silence is my canvas
As Images and words tumble
Like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle
Visions rare, beautiful
And sometimes bizarre
Fill my sleeping brain

Ron's Poem

We live
in an evolving past
minute by minute,
year by year.
Becoming . . .
from what was.
We unify yesterday
today and tomorrow
through intuition,
not science.

In the interstices
art is now, past
and present alike.
though so illustrated
the mystery remains.
As Gauguin said,
Where Do We Come From?
What Are We?
Where Are We Going?

Ron's Poem

Danni

I think of you
your depression
I think of you
and wonder
where is the Danni
I used to know
where did she go
I think of you
the laughing loud
rambunctious Danni
I used to know
where did she go
life can be hard
others may fail you
meanness may prevail
but look around
among the misery
all the sorrow
still life goes on
others may change
but you can still be
the vibrant Danni
I used to know

Jan's Poem

NIGHT

I love the night
when silence creeps round
and the only sound
is the soft wind
and the ticking of the clock
Time takes a short vacation
and I am free to wander
Wherever my memories takes me
