The Wonder of Winter
I love Winter
cold air breath
skin braced alive
white snow beauty
trees outlined
over blue sky
smoking chimneys
iced flowing river
metallic water lake
birds and animals
snug in their nests
all anticipating
the warming sun
all of us in awe
of nature.
